I moved to Wellington from Ireland 16 years ago, and for the past 14 years, the Eastern suburbs have been home to me, my Kiwi husband, our two kids (12 and 14), and our wee rescue dog, Wylie. I've watched our kids grow up through Play Centre, numerous kindies, primary school, intermediate and now college, and still marvel at the huge variety of amazing facilities available to our kids that the Eastern Suburbs have to offer.

We love this community – we’re deeply invested in its future and that is why I am standing for Council. I believe in the power of collaboration to shape a city that is people-focused, future-minded, and full of opportunity. I believe in the strength of communities to lead change.

Over the years, I’ve worked across local government (three years in Wellington City Council), community development (five years as a Community Centre Coordinator), in social enterprise and sustainability, and as a tertiary lecturer or tutor (Griffith College Dublin, Massey University and Wellington High CEC). I also spent many years in design in Australia, and I owned and managed my own successful business in Ireland for three years before moving to NZ. So, I understand how hard and rewarding it can be to run your own business!

In 2020, I was honoured with the Absolutely Positively Wellingtonian Award for long term contributions to community life in Pōneke. I bring a deep understanding of not only how Council works (and sometimes doesn't work), but how it can build genuine partnerships with communities – not just by consulting, but by actively listening and responding.

I have also held many volunteer and governance roles (New Crossways Community Trust and Wellington Regional Neighbourhood Support Board), focused on building relationships, supporting grassroots leadership, events and fundraising, and co-creating solutions that reflect real needs from wellbeing and climate resilience to local business and community development.

I’m standing to be a strong voice for equity, sustainability, and long-term investment in the things that help our communities thrive, now and for future generations.

Let’s work together to build a stronger, more vibrant Wellington.
